We’re here to help

MusicWings is a 501(c)(3) organization that was created to bring more music and music education to the entirety of the Truckee-Tahoe community. Our mission is to create opportunities for students who might not otherwise have equitable access to music education. We aspire to achieve this goal through enhanced or supported programs within the school systems, continuing education and resources for teachers, scholarships for students, and community supported music events.

MusicWings currently has a small amount of funding to help subsidize music education in our schools. We are able to deliver this by supporting MusicWings ambassadors (professional musicians, scholars, and music educators) to share their expertise, wisdom, and specialized knowledge in the form of masterclasses, presentations, and assemblies in our local schools. If you are interested in applying for potential funding for a specific program need, please complete the inquiry form below.

Applications for the 2024-25 school year are now closed. Applications for the 2025-26 school year will open on July 1, 2025 and close on August 15, 2025.
